CFPL3D
CFPL3D explores applying the controlled CFPL approach to three-dimensional character assets. It is an early-stage research project, not a finished tool.
What CFPL3D Explores
CFPL3D explores applying the same controlled, structured approach behind CFPL and CFPLStudio to three-dimensional character assets. A 3D file contains geometry, but a real production system needs more than geometry alone — it needs to understand what that geometry represents.
This project is exploring consistent naming, semantic regions, reusable anchors, and the relationships between a character’s parts, in three dimensions. The goal is to make 3D character edits and production decisions more understandable and more repeatable — the same underlying goal as CFPLStudio’s 2D pipeline, applied to a different kind of asset.
CFPL3D is a separate subsystem from CFPLStudio’s 2D pipeline, currently in early research and development. It is not presented here as finished, publicly available, or ready for licensing.
The Rest of CFPLStudio
CFPL3D is one part of a larger, actively developing project. The rest of CFPLStudio focuses on 2D character production today.
